Rainwater is collected from the roof; heat is supplemented by wood from windfalls or construction waste + the windows are situated for maximum sun in the winter, but shaded in the summer.

The interior is simple, clean + to form.

Newly opened Commune Cafe in Vancouver B.C. serves up organic, fair trade coffee w/ a side of thought out design.

The cafe interior is set up with plan to bring coffee lovers together to ‘eat together + drink together’ with community ideals at the centre.
